(August 21, 2013 PHILADELPHIA, PA) On Friday, August 16th, 2013, 17…Days of Fashion kicked off their 2013 events with a media reception hosted by Executive Director, Anthony Henderson and Media Personality, Envy McKee. The event was held in association with Jaden’s Voice for Autism. This event was held at Jollies Live at 822 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130. Celebrity stylists, trendsetters, surprise guests came out to support 17…Days of Fashion at their kick-off event. Inside of the venue, VIPs and other guests were able to do interviews on the red carpet, check out the newest fashions being worn by the models as well as check out the signature cocktail that Jollies Live produced just for our event.
Notable guests who attended the media reception were Sheinelle Jones of FOX 29 News, Praise 103.9 Media Personality Dezzie, the Founder and CEO of Jaden’s Voice Terri Matthews, actress and on-air personality Kharisma McIlwaine, Wardrobe Stylist and Executive Director of Philly Men’s Fashion Week Jamahal C. Boyd Sr, Philadelphia Daily News Columnist Jenice Armstrong, Psychologist and Advisory Board Member Dr. Marquit ????, Heavyweight Boxer Bryant Jennings, Media Personality Envy McKee, and Community Liaison Maxwell Brown, celebrity fashion stylist Fatiah Rebbekkah, and R&B Singer Joe Love. In addition, we also had surprise celebrity guest, actor Chaz Shepherd of BET’s The Game.
The models for the media reception were were provided by Embacy Modeling Agency and were dressed by Chocolate City Studio. Hair and make-up was also by Chocolate City.

Executive Director of 17…Days of Fashion appeared on Good Day Philadelphia on FOX as well as on PHL 17 to discuss the upcoming events featured during 17…Days of Fashion as well as to show off the latest in local designer fashions. 17…Days of Fashion Media Kick Off: Save the Date!!!!!
(July 31, 2013 PHILADELPHIA, PA) The Philadelphia Fashion Consortium will kick off the fourth annual 17…Days of Fashion on August 16, 2013 with an exclusive media reception at Jollies Live Restaurant and Bar (822 North Broad Street, Philadelphia). 17…Days of Fashion features several fashion events produced in 17 days by local designers and boutiques which will donate a portion of their proceeds to local charities such as Women Still Standing, Jaden’s Voice, Women Against Abuse Philadelphia, and Dress for Success. Celebrity guest, Ty Lepley of the hit OWN Network series The Haves and the Have Nots, will be in attendance walking the red carpet and discussing 17…Days of Fashion with members of the media. Lepley is a native of the Philadelphia area who now resides in Los Angeles. His new film, Baggage Claim, will be released September 27, 2013.
Other notable guests that will be in attendance are Mike Jerrick (Fox 29 News), Dezzie (Praise 103.9 On-Air Personality), Terri Matthews (CEO of Jaden’s Voice for Autism), Jamal Boyd (Fashion Stylist and Executive Director for Philadelphia Men’s Fashion Week), Sixx King (Director and Contributing Writer for Essence.com), Kharisma Mcilwaine (Actress and Community Ambassador), Envy McKee (Author and On-Air Contributor for Fox News), and Maxwell Brown (Philadelphia Community Partnership Liaison) among others.
17…Days of Fashion will be filled with several events. Particularly notable events include a fashion show and shopping night presented by Dress Barn and DiMe Universal, a Cigars & Stilettos Fashion Passion event, and a Celebrity Closet Exchange featuring local celebrities and boutiques for a pop-up shop.
