The event was located at 723 Chestnut Street at the Goldilocks Gallery. This event was not only a fashion event, but a Kappa mixer. The love at the venue was incredible, and I felt like I was surrounded by family.
There were fabulous prizes for a select few who bought tickets to the event. And there was a runway extravaganza at the end of the show.
There were three designers who displayed their work. Their names are Ayasa Afi, Serena Saunders, and Taqiy Muhammad.
Ayasa had the fun, colorful, flirty and flowy look that you can sport on a casual night out or to a formal event. Serena’s collection was for the fun and eccentric type of girl who loves colors and prints. Her collection is very futuristic and new age. Tagiy’s looks were very cool too. If your into tie-dye and gothic prints, his line is the one for you.
It was my first time ever being at this venue. It’s very artsy, small, quaint and fit for any small size “grown and sexy” party.
I’m very proud of all the designers, especially Ayasa Afi. Everyone did an awesome job in their creations on the runway.
Jared Roberts also was a pleasure to enjoy. He did a wonderful job hosting at the event. He knows how to catch and keep your attention, and he’s cute and witty.
The event was catered by Keren Parker, who is also the owner of Ms Tootsie’s on South Street in Philly. The food was incredible. They served sushi, spring rolls, scallops wrapped in bacon, barbeque and jerk chicken. The refreshments were bottled water and Heineken. Stoli also provided some great mixed drinks for the event.
